Spirit of Speed 1937 - what can I say.... Addendum
F12 for fuel and oil
Change the text file: NotTheRegistry.txt
FOR MANUAL GEARS: Gearbox Manual
FOR HIGH RESOLUTIONS: ScreenMode <width>x<height>
i.e. 1024x768
NOTE:
1) In higher screen modes and in-car view the mirrors appear above the car.
1024x768 will appear in OPTIONS when file is changed but 1280x1024 does not
which indicates to me that 1024x768 will be available in full game.
2) When pressing escape or at end of race the black screen appears at the
800x600 res. But the interface returns to normal
I got an acceptable frame rate in 1280x1024, but more cars may prove that it is
too high.
I'll ammend about what I said about the wheels. The TYRES are poor but the
wheel rims appear in real 3D i.e. you can see the whole inner width of the rim!
The graphics are more acceptable on the eye at the higher res.
On the whole I will probably buy this game simply because there is no other sim
replicating this period in racing history.
So....
we've got 1937 and 1967 (GPL), what about 1957 with Fangio, Moss and the
longest track in the world; PESCARA (15.89miles). Buy the way...was there
racing in 1947?
