Ok after the wackassed download setup of theirs, I finally got to play it. This game needs work thats for sure. My main beef is why the hell cant I low side on the pavements? I throw it in a turn hell bent for leather and it just casually drives off the outside of the turn then crashes as soon as it hits the grass/gravel. Wrong. Wheelies could use toning down. Are they really THAT wheelie sensitive? And if they are that powerful I sure as hell should be able to break loose the back tire on the exit of turns which it doesnt seem to let me. Again, I cant crash. I can't lock up the front tire? Wrong. Steering seems funky too. Seems way too difficult to accurately 'input in' the proper amount of turn force. I tried many different settings. Excellent controller menu btw but racing gfx are kind of icky. No popup is nice though. Guess I'll have to wait awhile till some company gets it right.

It leaves a nive little black mark on the track. Go to the advanced option panel. You can tweak just about everything. It's the most complete set of options I have seen in any driving sims (for the control portion at least). Philster

> Get the GP500 demo at www.gp500.net, you'll be impressed. Be sure to > use the #4 view... Well, the sound in that game simply suck. The volume is also way too low. Graphics are not too bad, but wasn't that impressed. I don't really care about the tracks offered. Philster
>> This game needs work thats for sure. > Yes, that's true Yes, it seems none of the various physics related issues I have posted here before have been addressed by the latest version. Indeed I have discovered a new 'trick' that can be played on the game. Set your rear brake to a linear progression in the control menu. Then go out to a track. Throw on the front brake and the rear brake and then the accelerator. The bike will hop forward a few times and then settle into a lazy rotation about the bike's Z-axis with the rear wheel locked and the front rotating ever so slightly (hmm, now how does that work). Now turn the bike, it will do a nose stand for you while rotating in place. Not exactly best of show physics. In the real world this sequence would produce little more than a smoked rear tire. Not so in AMA Superbike (but very much so in GP500). And on the grass, sand, and whatever else surface you happen to be on at the moment. Unfortunately once you lock the front wheel up you can still steer as if it was rotating and regardless of what input you provide the bike will remain upright. Not realistic at all. - George
>Yes, it seems none of the various physics related issues >I have posted here before have been addressed by the >latest version. The focus in the latest version had to do with online fixes since we had promised the open beta by Sept 30th, and yup we were one day late. We will get to the other issues in the short future. Thanks for finding that out, I did try it myself and was able to reproduce it, it seems that the engine is stalling (rpm reads 0) since your clutch is disengage and you have the rear tire locked, that might be causing the weirdity. I'll talk to our physics guy to engage the clutch or we could make the bike stall, which is no fun on superbikes since the racing ones sometimes don't have a starter (I know the production ones do). Still a good find George. We have surface type settings so that we know on what material you are at, so expect this to change soon as well. Yup this happens because of the limits we put in there so that people will have fun driving instead of picking up the bike from the ground all the time, we will make this an option in the near future as well. if you turn lowsides on, then the bike will do the right thing if it's not on the racing surface, we just have to have a switch to allow you to turn those low/high sides on the race track as an option and to see how riders like/dislike it. But that is on the list. Thanks again for your post we are listening on what people are saying, specially if it's constructive criticism. We are going to have an agressive features updates while getting feedback from users like you. Miguel Parra Motorsims Sr Game Programmer

My biggest gripe with GP500, there are no "Dukes" in it :-))) -- Beers and cheers (uncle) Goy "Team Mirage" http://www.teammirage.com/ "The Pits" http://www.theuspits.com/
