I have a Sidewinder Freestyle Pro, and I tried to get N3 to configure
it, but it tells me to "steer left then right" and when I do that it
just uses the Y axis (up and down) to steer left and right for some
reason. Even turning off the sensor and using the directional pad
doesn't work. Is there a way of manually configuring the Freestyle pro
instead of their crappy "automatic" method?
Make sure you don't have any other controllers connected.

I don't, unless you consider keyboard and mouse "controllers"
I've used the Freestyle Pro a couple of times with N3, no problems.
It was just to check it out, I normally use my MS FF Wheel...

I finally figured out the problem. I had to calibrate it within N3
before N3 would recognize it, then set the left/right steering with
the sensor off. It now works properly.
