which NASCAR should i get

Hi there are so many title for NASCAR3 that I am getting abit confused could you tell me which one I should ? didn't the license is for only one company to make the game. how did these confusing titles came about

Well, there is only one Nascar 3 and its the most accurate Nascar simulation available. There are a lot of sims/games that use the name Nascar in some way. JM

There are two new titles from Sierra/Papyrus (and everyone knows if you a looking for a true NASCAR simulation, that's where you want to go). They are: NASCAR 3 (also known as NASCAR 2000 in some parts of the world), which has the 1999 season Winston cup and Busch Grand National series, and NASCAR Legends, which features the 1970 NASCAR season with Fords Torinos, Mercury Cyclones, Plymouth Superbirds, and Dodge Daytona Chargers. They both used the same basic physics and graphics engines (a tarted-up N2, not GPL), the primary differences are the tracks included and the physical parameters of the cars (the '70s are on bias ply tires, bigger, heavier(?), bigger, unrestricted engines). The Papyrus/Sierra titles (N1, N2, N99, N3, and the N2 add-ons: BGN and CTS packs) are the true sims. N3 is the latest. Updated N2 engine, better graphics and sound. The other NASCAR-titled games are just arcade games with the NASCAR license. (NASCAR Revolution, NASCAR Road Racing, and whatever else...)
