Newbie to GPL : which wheel to go?

Hello, I am a newbie to GPL. After test-playing it at a friend, I instantly order a copy. But I have not driving wheel. I have 2 choices come into mind: 1. TM Formula T2 (T2) 2. Griffin, I have both wheels. And the verdict is: go for the Logitech if you can afford it. It is the better wheel in all respects, not counting FF. When used with the USB port it offers better control than T2 with gameport in all games. You'll be needing it <g> -- Good luck, Leo

Thats fairly easy, The Logitech wins by a landslide. The T2 is no longer manufactuered or supported by Thrustmaster, so when it wears out you are once again fishing for a new wheel or 3rd party potetiometers(sp!) Also you cannot separate the gas and brake pedals without re-wiring the pedal unit. If you get involved in GPL, you will want the gas and brake on separate axis' Have fun and good luck dave henrie

I have both. Ways in which the LWFF is better than the T2: 1. Force feedback (duh) 2. Dual-axis pedals (You can rewire a T2 to add dual-axis support) 3. Paddle shifters 4. Better-feeling wheel 5. Stay-put pedal base Ways in which the T2 is better than the LWFF: 1. Longer pedal travel 2. Better pedal resistance (You can add stiffer springs to the LWFF) 3. Price I highly recommend the LWFF.
