Don't know why but, I took out the Asus P4C800, and put in a Intel D875PBZ,
solved all my problems. No the first sign of any problems. Thanks to all
who tried to help. Now back to racing.

I have to ask, you apparently replaced the Intel board with the ASUS
board at some point, did you do a complete reinstall when swapping
MoBo's ?

yes, a complete format and reinstall, when I went to the ASUS board, but not
when I went back to the INTEL,
and it still works great.

You never did tell use what PSU you have. What is it, out of interest?

Check your board's revision level and see if it has been superceeded.
If so, contact ASUS (or your dealer, depending on how ASUS does support
these days) and tell them you have issues and maybe it can be sent in and
updated.
There are board-level changes made from time to time that BIOS updates
cannot overcome.
