I read a comment regarding the fact that the AI now drove around an
incident instead of stopping and pivoting left and right untill the
track is clear, just as they did in N2. I see that they still do the
same thing. Everyone still have this happen??
Well, I've found Bristol to be a nightmare with 43 cars...
If you race without Yellows, and there is a wreck, the track will clog big
time, and it will _never_ unclog. 10, 12, 14, 18 or whatever number of cars
will just sit there, doing nothing.
I've never been able to finish an off-line Bristol race because of this.

yes (in practice anyway)

I thought I was the only one having this problem, as it is certainly
disappointing. To some degree, I find it to be worse than N99 when it comes
to this problem....

Running without yellows, especially at Bristol and other short tracks, is asking
for trouble. Without yellows to bring the speeds down, the AI has no better
chance than you of avoiding a wreck or a spun car. I ran a night race at
Bristol last night and went over fifty laps without incident until I lost it and
caused a yellow. I took out myself and the car I hit but no one else.
Out of sheer curiosity, why would you run without yellows?

very reason???

I'm with you, Zog. The FIRST thing I did after I got N3 was
run a race at Bristol. I run with Arcade Damage (hey, I'm still a
newbie at this!!!), with Yellows and Player Breakdowns. Had an
EXCELLENT race!! Ran in the top 10 most of the race, till I got black
flagged for speeding on pit road and passing under yellow.
Which leads me to my main complaint: I've gotten black flagged TWICE
for passing under yellow. If an AI car's behind you, but supposed to
be in front, it's pretty tough to get 'em to pass you! While the
front of the pack doesn't stop at the start line anymore, the BACK of
the pack still does: I tagged Mark Martin HARD that night when he
stopped _just before_ the green flag dropped. I got black flagged for
"passing under yellow" cause the green hadn't come out yet...
Still a BLAST!!!!!!! Can't wait for my Force Feedback wheel!
