Try looking at http://www.microsoft.com/directx or http://www.eu.microsoft.com/directx -- AG Remove removes from address to remove anti-spam measures. -- Never for me the lowered banner, never the last endeavour! (Damon Hill - 16th June 1999)

I Did!! The Dummy That I Am!! I've had problems with my 3dfx voodoo2 in Sli running Unreal, Midtown Madness, Motor Racer2, SBK and stopped after all these sims/games that I now can't run via my Two 3dfx cards! I can re-run these games with my AGP 8mg Herc Thriller and runs the Rendition chip V2200 with the above sims/games but its extremely poor looking on my screen when I do.. I can not use all the high resolutions and don't get the smoothness of my Two 3dfx cards in Sli. The odd thing is everything is fine in GPL and Quake-2 only! Help!! [A] Can anyone tell me why & [B] most important is how can I get back to the DirectX version 6.1 so I can have everything back to normal?? I have too many sims & games that need DirectX 6.1 to run correctly on my system! {Once there is a fix for it I may upgrade but not right now!} Any & All Help Will Be Appreciated!! And Do I Need It! A Frustrasted & Possibly Not So Bright Thom_j. Cheers..

I did as well and all my games are running fine. So far i haven't noticed changes, GPL ran fine with it, then my Helos sims did as well. My V3-3000, MX-300, etc..., all run as usuall... C. Giroux.
Installed DX7 now I'm hosed! My wheel shows up fine in Control Panel/Game Controllers, calibrates fine, but neither N3 nor GPL recognize it. Re-installed wheel driver, no luck. Madcatz Andretti USB. I'm so sick of this kinda crap! I just re-installed Win98 a week ago and it looks like that will be the fix again. Does anyone know how to remove DX7? Did you try diagnosing the problem? Go to Dxdiag shortcut in C:\Program Files\DirectX\setup\ It has a troubleshooting guide and several tests you can use to try and figure it out. Worse comes to worse try re-installing Dx6 from your N3 cd. You shouldn't have to re-install windows. At the extreme worst case, you may have to delete the Dx7 files listed in the diag program and then you should be able to reboot and install dx6. Mike

I would be that sucker, all is fine works great.

installed it and it seems to me that NASCAR 3 runs faster at 1024x768 on my STB Velocity 4400 than it does at 800x600. I was originally racing with my Voodoo2 card.. my better frame rates lead me the other way.
