After a few days with N3...I'm glad Papy chose to s***the GPL physics for
N3. It's just my thoughts, but since there isn't allot of bumps, or
elevation changes, or right turns... that we would just adjust out the need
for gpl physics with our setups anyway, making the gpl physics a moot point.
Am I beeing clear or did I just confuse myself again?
What do you think?

If they did use the GPL engine for N3, we'd probably need to wait a
year or two before we had a system powerful enough to use it. ;-)

comes out.

I'm confused.

Ask anyone who's gone 150mph around an oval in a stock car if they
thought the experience was boring.
It's not racing?! This should be interesting.
You're in the wrong league :)
Really? Here I thought racing was all about being the first one to
the checkered flag! All the stuff you mention is important for a
certain KIND of racing. It's less important for other kinds of
racing. But it's ALL racing. Besides, you HAVE to have all those
factors involved in a NASCAR race or there wouldn't be much for the
drivers to do ! Look at how busy the Champ car drivers and F1 drivers
are just keeping their cars on the road during a race AND dealing with
traffic.
I seriously doubt that few people in a Winston Cup car find any part
of it boring or tedious. It might be boring in front of a computer
(I've nodded off more than once in an online NASCAR event as I lapped
by myself endlessly because I was half a lap separated from other
drivers), but in real life, driving over 150 mph knowing that a single
mistake can put you into a wall? No, I doubt that even the best
Winston Cup ride is EVER "boring and tedious" for its driver.
I disagree with you 100%.

Tom, have you run the F3 and F2 cars much? They are easier to
control and lead to closer racing (a more NASCAR-like "shaving off
fractions of a second by just the right line" versus the GP-like "just
trying to stay on the track"). A lot of good online F3/F2 racing,
leagues, etc...
"But in a way, fear is a big part of racing, because if there was
nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into
a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark
In a strange twist, I find the F3 cars HARDER to drive. I'm further off the
pace from the AI in F3 than I am at F1, (at Monza, 2 sec[F1], 6 sec[F3]). I'm
not sure why that is, yet.
