Best Buy and CompUSA are huge monolithic companies with the swiftness of a slug. It always takes them forever to get product on the shelf because: 1. The stuffed suits around the Mahogony table have to decide whether to carry it or not. 2. They have to decide whether to end-cap it or not, generating more revenue than the sale itself. 3. How many to order, based on some bizarre research committe that takes 2 weeks to scratch their asses. 4. Order the product in to their main warehouse. 5. Lose it for 3 days in their main warehouse. 6. Find it, then lose it again for 3 more days in their warehouse. 7. Finally, ship it out to their stores. 8. The store then tries to 'implement' the plan determined by the mothership. 9. Product training. - Oh, that's right. Never mind. 10.Customer gets lucky, as they walk in, ask 'where is N3', and the guy says let me check in the back, where it is buried under neath 42 cases of Mechwarrior 3. But, can't let you have it because it hasn't been 'scanned' yet. Come back tomorrow please. EB is much ligher-footed. So are mail-order companies. -Larry > i live in bullhead city and had to go to EB in las vegas to get it. best buy > and comp usa didnt have it there either > > Any body seen Nascar 3 here in the desert. I'm in Scottsdale also; picked up a copy Friday at STOP&SAVE SOFTWARE at Arizona Mills Mall. Sorry I don't have their phone # handy, you may want to call & have them hold one as I think they only had 8-10 copies. >Any body seen Nascar 3 here in the desert. I live in Tucson, and N3 was here at EB on the 15th. I would imagine that if you can find an EB up there that they would have it.
