To all those TEN drivers, stop whining! At least you don't have to pay $$$.

I have a cable modem and raced 8 other people today online and had very few warping problems. I understand everyone's milage may vary but at least it's FREE! I played on TEN for a while too and thought it was great till I saw my bank account shrinking away. I think the multiplayer is great as is, so what if they don't have the point system like TEN. GPL doesn't have anything like that and you don't see people complaining, so I don't think it really adds to anything. Once everyone gets in leagues you'll know who's the clean racers. Vintook

I just started running GPL online and am quite happy with the VROC system/GBS system though there are a few mild warping issues. What is '10' and what would the alternative be? Is it going to be anything like VROC or GBS??? ____________________ Hydrogen and Stupidity.. The two most universal elements

But without a ranking system how fun can it be? There is no way that you will know all the racers. And what fun would it be if you get one bad racer who intentionally wrecks everyone?

Funny thing is, this doesn't seem to happen with GPL on VROC. I suppose GPL racers tend to have invested more time in learning the sim, so they are more interested in actually racing than just messing around. And despite some complaints in the newsgroup, on the whole I find the standards of politeness and consideration on the track to be extremely high. If TEN is different with Nascar races, maybe it just reflects the era being simulated - the racers were more gentlemanly in 1967!

I did not paying, it was only $13 a moth which I would gladly pay any for their great service!

Or maybe it was because only 31,000 units of GPL (Of which I am one) were sold. LOL.
