Hey everybody, how good do you think Nascar 3 would run on a Pentium 233mxx,
with 64 megs ram, and a 16 meg velocity card? Any Ideas?
Also the Pentium 233 is a socket 7 cpu correct? So couldnt I put in an Amd
K-6 or something? Thanks,
Zack

I don't know how well N3 will run on your system. The minimum
requirement stated on the box is a P166 w/ 32mb ram. Maybe someone w/
a similar setup to yours can post their experience with N3. And, yes,
I believe P233 is a socket 7 cpu, if my memory is correct. If your
motherboard supports it, you can definitely upgrade to a higher speed
AMD K6-2 cpu.

Greetings.......
Zack.....this is my current box o' junk.....Pent233mmx, 64Meg ram, SB
Live soundcard, and a Voodoo3 3000 AGP videocard.
The game runs fine! The game defaulted with all the options turned on,
and I haven't noticed any slowdowns, or glitches....this is at 800x600
From reading some of the "advice" here in rec.auto.sim you would think
you need a Pentium9 4000 and 784 meg of ram just to use the
'paintshop'......
Hope this helps........

Sorry Zack...
I forgot about the processor question....depends on your motherboard. I
have an ASUS P5-5ab that is a Super7 board. According to ASUS' webpage, this
board will support up to an AMD k-6 3-500. It's nice to know my MB has some
life it in yet...hope THIS helps......

Thank you very much for the helpful info!
