Just wondering.... is anyone going to use a wheel with AMA SuperBike?
I've tried my wheel for a few demo's, but the joystick seems a better
feeling choice for me. I'm just not comfy with the wheel, and I don't
think I have enough control options to properly handle the beasts.

Yup.
No. Makes it feel like I'm driving a car then.

Take a look at the Gravis Xterminator,I believe thats what I'm gonna use and
maybe along with my TSW2 pedals.I'm gonna pick one up when AMA is on the
shelves. The Xterminator has a throttle,a proportional joy pad and flippers
from what I hear so it should work better than turning a wheel to drive the
cycle:)

I'm going to experiment with various setups. Haven't determined the
optimum one yet (for a hint of what's possible, see

I tried using a joystick, with lening set to auto, and my rear brake
on the throttle control (with my front brake on the joystick axis).
You need to have a seperate axis for the rear brake to have full
control over the bike. It worked OK but the throttle was an unnatural
device for the brake.
I tried a similar setup but with my rear brake on a foot pedal of my
Logitech wheel system. That felt better. I might go with that.

No, that's a sin! :-)
Wonder how the Microsoft Freestyle pad would work?
That's the one you can lean left/right as well as fore/aft.
The fastest Motocross Madness guys all seem to use them.
It sounds corny, but it's probably the most intuitive controller out
for controlling a realistically moving motorcycle.

I never liked it when I toyed with it in Motorcross Madness. Can't imagine
trying to play with it in SBK or other motorbike sims.

I can be a couple of manitudes more precise with a wheel or joystick
than a THUMB based analog pad.
I probably would use a joystick, but my piece of ***MS Sidewinder broke
[took it apart afterwards and it was horridly designed..too bad I really
liked it].

Yes. I will. My TSW. With split axis.
