If you live in or near a city, you'll probably see N3 on the shelves up to a week before the Sierra guys get any shipped. And you won't really get a "sale" price, With N2 and N99 local shops had sales on them lower than the pre-buy price. However, if you are stuck away from the mainstream, then perhaps checking in at the Sierra web site might help. dave henrie

Well, I think hell would probably freeze over before Sierra gets the 'pre-order' folks before the stores. In my reading of this and other *** groups over the years, they have NEVER shipped at even the same time, much less before the product hit the store shelves. Sierra has always went for the 'big sale'- in other words the volume buyers, not the direct customers. My suggestion is go pre-order from one of the good dealers-Electronics Boutique, CDW, etc, not Sierra. Still kind of disappointed that Papyrus sold out to such a lousy company just to get their massive disribution network. Later. Mark Gums

Worst part for me: after installing N3 I'll have to hack my registry again l8er ronny -- "I heard if you play the NT-4.0-CD backwards, you get a satanic message." "That's nothing, if you play it forward, it installs NT-4.0"
