I hooked up too late for the Wednesday night Powerslide Speedway League (I
can never get that EST versus CST time thing straight!). I popped into Kali
at about 8:30 Indiana time (9:30 EST) and tried to get into some pick-up
races, but the Internet just seemed impossible tonight. I had 3 lockups
while either trying to connect or host, and even when I could join up, the
connection would drop even before we got a chance to race; these lockups
required reboots, which was a real drag. My apologies to anybody who was
trying to hook up with me; I'm not sure if this was a problem with my
machine (seems stable for Web-surfing now, and Powerslide plays with no
problem off-line) or the Internet, but I was plenty disappointed.
My special apologies to any newbies with the Dam Demo who were trying to
race on-line with Powerslide for the first time. This was my first bad
experience with Powerslide on-line after several weeks, and I assure you
it's usually MUCH easier than it was tonight.
If any of you would like to hook up with me to try the Dam Demo, or just
race with the full version, you can reach me at ICQ #46521895.
See you on the slide! <G>
