After much mucking around.. I have found that there are some files that
double up for cars... in GPL
I think there is a program/patch taht allows you to have individuals sounds
for individual cars..
Where?? how?? can someone post a URL.. or even better.. post it on
alt.binaries.simulators.autos if it isn't too big..

No it isn't fake! (I suppose you are talking about carsound.exe by Nigel
Pattinson). I've tried it yesterday on my GPL 1.1 German version. It works
flawlessly. The only point you maybe have missed is, you have to have the
seven .wav files for the individual cars located in your \sound folder.
Otherwise GPL won't work, AFAIK. The files must be called bra, brm, cov,
eag, fer, lot, mur (.wav for all).
