Patch problems for UK version of GPL

I have tried installing the patch for GPL so that I can get the force feedback through my Interact V4 wheel. When I try to install the patch I get the following error message "GPL.exe is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded". I have the UK version 1,0,0,0 and cannot find a different patch on the UK Sierra site. The patch I got was from the US site and will just not work. HELP!!! -- Thanks in advance. Ian

I had the same problem and it is because you have some of the add-ons, try a fresh install and then patch, then add the extras. Hey Bud...just go to the pits..get the UK 1.1 Patch..ok..maybe you've done that! then , rather than doing the full reinstall just copy the gpl.exe file from the gpl cd..paste it into the gpl folder on your drive ( i hope you backed up Your gpl.exe file first)..that way the installer will identify gpl.exe as pristine and unmodified. voila! jv > I have tried installing the patch for GPL so that I can get the force > feedback through my Interact V4 wheel. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Copying the gpl.exe from the cd didn't work but once I got the UK patch from http://www.thenorwaypits.com/ the patch installed. After changing the core.ini file the forcefeedback worked perfectly.
