My new LWFF

Last friday I bought myself a Wingman FF, and ever since I've been irritated by those pedals. The travel is too short and there's no resistance. For GPL it's no problem, I use my old F1 Sim brake pedal as the throttle, the wingman throttle as the brake and the new brake as a analogue clutch. I have to get used to the clutch though, as for the brake I've put a small ball under the pedal so it now almost feels like a real brake. So for GPL I've found myself a nice setup and since GPL is still the simulation it's not much of a problem. But sometimes I like some real power, brakes and telemetry so I go to MGPRS2, and then those pedals are just impossible. My main concern is that coming sims like GP3 will not support my setup and so I would love to just get some better pedals on my Logitech. I hope Logitech will develop good pedals for there coming products which are sold seperately. Normally I wouldn't ask that of a commercial company, but these pedals are just so bad, it's unbelievable. Couldn't we join together and tell Logitech what we would like of a pedal unit? For me there should be a very stiff clutch and brake pedal (the brake should have hardly any movement just pressure measurement) the throttle should have quite some travel (not to much, it's up to the sim programmers to make better throttle response) and very little resistance. If it would make the total package too expensive they should be thinking of only making it an extra option. Isn't it possible for somebody else to make a pedal unit that works with the Logitech wheel?

And did you setup the wheel for seperate axis? I personally like the pedals but I do understand how some people would not. There are many tips on the web for modifying the pedals. You can get stiffer springs and I think some people put Superballs under the brake pedal to increase the resistance. I find it strange that you do OK with the pedals in GPL though :-) -- Header address intentionally scrambled to ward off the spamming hordes. cisko [AT] ix [DOT] netcom [DOT] com
I do ok with the pedals in GPL because I can use my F1 Sim pedal as a throttle, and those pedals are just the best. I can dose the throttle and use the Logi with a ball behind the pedal as the brake.

Hajan, it's easy : If you don't mind scrapping those LOgitech pedals do this : You'll need a soldering gun with solder. Open the Logitech pedal cover, unsolder all connection on both pots, do the same with your F1 sims. Now use the cable from the Logitech and solder it to those F1 sims pots, make sure you connect the wires the same way (3 wires on each pots), when you're done, bring that power suply cable inside your F1 sims. Voila! If you need to see how is the schematic of the wires of the Logitech Then check my section about it http://www.simracingmag.com This way your pedals will be in use all the time on all your game, as lonmg as your game recognise the steering of your logitech FF wheel. Go at SPY's corners, then click on the LOGITECH review :) Cheers, Eric

Yep, as Eric says, it works like a charm. Thanks to his wonderful explanations, even a mechanical clutz like me was able to get the Logitech wheel working with my TSW pedals. Now I've got the best of both worlds. Ian
