GPL/Voodoo3 3500 TV?

I installed a new Voodoo3 3500, have all latest drivers (after spending 2 hours on phone with Tech Support). Now GPL locks up the computer when I quit. I can drive OK, but it locks up to a black screen requiring a switch off type reboot. PIII 600 on Asus P2B 128 meg. Voodoo3 3500 Wingman FF with latest everything, including core.ini set up right GPL patched to 1.1 Glide splash screen disabled GPL Fix applied what next? -- Tom Hesselman Greenville, Wisconsin

Why disable the glide splash? What is the GPL Fix? I have a PIII 450, Asus P2B, Voodoo3 (3000), 128 megs, and a Wingman FF (so we have very simular systems). I just installed GPL, and 1.1 patch every thing works great. Have you tried a uninstall / reinstall?

Don't use the GPL fix.. that is what is causing you difficulty. I have the same card and once I removed the GPL fix.. the problem went away.

I've now discovered that it works fine as long as I stay in 640 x 480. Any other res and it crashes on exit from racing, or when I try to view a replay. Still trying to figure it out.......... I'm going to uninstall/reinstall once more...sigh.

I'm not sure if it will help with this particular problem, but make a batch file in your GPL directory, name it whatever you like, and put the following lines into it: SET FX_GLIDE_TMU_MEMSIZE=8 GPL.exe Run it and see what happens.... it's apparently fixed a lot of other people's troubles. -- Cheers!
