Thrustmaster unreliability

Wondering if anyone can enlighten me... I bought a TM Nascar Pro wheel a while ago (can't remember when off- hand) to replace my rapidly deteriorating TM Formula 2 (?). Having not really touched it for ages, I started up a game of MGPRS today and hooked the wheel up. Not only were the buttons on the wheel not functioning (something that had happened immediately after purchase, but didn't bother me) and the wheel jittering to the right (which I put down to dirty potentiometers), now I find that the gas and brake pedals seem to have a more digital on-off style response in the software rather than the intended smooth analogue feeling. Obviously, this has now rendered the wheel totally useless and I was wondering if there was any way to fix it, or if people know of Thrustmaster replacing or fixing such items. I would be gutted to think I paid out 100+ for a redundant piece of hardware, especially having had similar experiences in the past with other Thrustmaster products. Thanks in advance for any advice or information... -- DB --
If there's anything that Thrustmaster should be remembered for it's their support. They are well known for sending out replacement parts to anywhere in the world with no questions asked!
Well, not to start an argument ...okay, I *am* trying too :-) I would say they can be remembered for the following: (1) Being the first to show their is a market for ***, realistic simulation controllers (2) Being the most innovative in that field (at least for a lot of years) (3) Always having questionable physical design of said hardware and constant problem with parts reliability. If they were a car company, they would have been sued out of existence a long time ago. And yes... (4) An excellent service policy (which they absolutely needed). We sim players owe them a lot for showing the way and drawing other companies into the game (with IMHO, better designed units).

Sorry, no argument here. Good assessment! Paul
