Hey folks,
I'm still having my grafical-problem in GPL, same as before the patch: My
menu-screens flicker and my mouse-cursor gets frozen all over the screen,
mainly in the race-menu and the replay-screen, I hold the world-record of 38
cursors getting stuck on my monitor which made it kinda hard to know which
one to click :))
P2 400, 128mb, Orchid Righteous Voodoo 1 (one!), SBLive (same occured with a
Terratec-sound-card, so that's not the cause...), no game-card (same occured
with a TM ACM-card, so that's not the cause either), TSW Sport-Wheel (same
occurs with my MSFF and my old and wrecked TM-wheels, so not a error
here...), OS Win 95 (4.0, build 1111) B, as well as DirectX Version
4.06.00.0318.
I tried placing the famous 2.53-version of glide.dll into my GPL-directory,
but GPL will then only start in software-mode, not using the 3dfx-mode. I
deleted all DirectX 6.1 files as listed up in DirectX Diagnostic Tool (as
Mr. Gates doesn't like his programs being removed from HD's, there's no
uninstaller for DirectX 6) and installed DirectX 5, didn't help.........I'm
lost ;((
I believe it comes down to my Voodoo1..........any workaround for me?
Thanx in advance!
Markus
First, Glide2.53 is for the Voodoo2 only. Which Voodoo1 drivers are
you currently using, and which ones have you tried? Do you have the
same results with those different drivers?
Eric
ATM I'm using the Voodoo Graphics Glide Driver Version: 2.46,
Voodoo Graphics Glide3 Driver Version: 3.00
Voodoo Graphics DirectX Release Number : 2.16
Voodoo Graphics DirectX Driver Version: 4.10.01.0016
I've also tried:
Direct3D Drivers for Voodoo Graphics Based 3D Accelerators
Version 2.13 from 12-2-1997
Righteous 3D Drivers Version 2.00.18 from June 4, 1997

Righteous 3D Driver Update - v3.00.00 1 December 1997
