I just got a Logitech formula force with the demo Ubi soft F1 game.I
also bought SCGT. And I had the demo NFS ,which came with V3
So far,to me,the NFS seems the most realistic and the most fun.
The graphics seem superior and the car feels more natural. I'm
I missing something or is this game just easier to get acclimated to
for a beginner.
Another thing,What's the best modern day F1 game and is there
a n improvement with NFS4?
Thanks
Tony

coming out? What kind of system requirements will it have? Will it feature
force feedback? :)

It reminds me of driving boiled eggs, though I never did! :>)))

Definitely a "yolk" steering device. And I hear the cars will burn Shell fuel.

At first I thought so too, now I'm not so sure. I went back to try NFS
HS after being away from it for a few weeks, and found their kami-kazi
blocking manuevers infuriating.
Furthermore, I'm convinced the AI actually cheats - swerving when you
turn your wheel, not the half second later when your car actually
veers. The easiest and most effective way to pass in HS is to FAKE a
swerve, and go right on through when the AI cheat kicks in. Pretty
lame.
Also, as I mentioned in my review, the actual driving capability of
the AI drivers is atrocious. This really becomes obvious on the old
NFS 3 tracks, which aren't as artificially narrow and winding as the
HS tracks. The AI drivers can't stay within a mile of you.
As in most EA games, the graphics are its strongest point - and the AI
is its weakest.

>I can only hold a 5 second lead, while on the old tracks I can get about 45 second lead in 4 laps.
>I have noticed the blocking thing, but they also will bump me into a spin too (like the cops do).
>Have you noticed the Chev Cup tougher than elsewhere? I just can't get a line on these guys.
The other annoying thing is that the AI cars don't obey even the
hopelessly simplified physics model that you have to (see the digital
sports page review for a good explanation of this flaw).
Yeah, the whole driving model is full of "canned" effects like that.
Collisions are another one, not even remotely realistic (again, done
to make the game more difficult for you to compensate for the poor
AI/driving skill of computer opponents).
It's not unlike the extensive cheating methods used to make NHL 99
difficult. I'm sure there's a plaque above every EA Sports cubicle:
"If you can't win honestly, CHEAT!"
This attitude continues to limit the quality and replayability of
almost every EA Sports game (FIFA being the one exeception to the
rule). Cheating-tricks like these should be absolutely forbidden to
AI/computer opponent programmers, ESPECIALLY in sports games.
