I have just purchased above wheel, but do not own a PC with a USB port. The box said it would could be attached to a serial port. Unfortunately my mouse sits on my nine pin port. I do have a 25 pin serial port available. Question is; do anyone out there know if I am able to purchase an adapter thus enabling me to connect the wheel to my PC. All help would be gratfully received. Gary Young Good old blighty
Yes, you need a standard 9 pin subd male to 25 pin subd female adapter. Any computer or electronics store should be able to supply you with one. Jan. ------ >I have just purchased above wheel, but do not own a PC with a USB port. ><snip>

If you have W98 or W95B, you can buy an USB adapter card which plugs into a free PCI slot. I haven't tried it because my PC has USB but I would think it will work. That would be what I would do in your situation. -- Header address intentionally scrambled to ward off the spamming hordes. cisko [AT] ix [DOT] netcom [DOT] com

I'd be careful if you have win95b. LWFF doesnt work with win95b even if you have usb support. I have 95b and usb and the logitech wouldn't recognize the usb connection, even though windows did. Works great on a serial port though. Kirk

Greg, Many thanks for your advice. I purchased a USB adapter card today, installed it and all is working very well. Now all I need is plenty of practice on the wheel ;-)) Thanks again. I now know why I subscribe to this newsgroup. Gary Young England
