I have a perfectly legit reason to get upset about this situation
About nine months ago when I complained about GPL and the way it was
laid out and released, I got a whole bunch of flames from morons who
said I was being too harsh
Hey --------- when it is MY money buying something that does NOT live
up to its billing I have the RIGHT to complain. I saw some problems on
the HORIZON then ---- now they are here.
If you don't like it ------ you know what you can do. I have worked
in enough businesses that made sure that customer service and REPEAT
business was PARAMOUNT to their existance.
This GPL experience has been a SNAKEBITE since day one.
The only salvation to it was the fact that it had the opportunity to
race online with REAL PEOPLE in REAL WORLD situations because that so
called AI sure wasn't real world at all -- it was far from it.
Now the damned thing is giving EVERYONE grief and upset the apple cart
completely. You are REQUIRED to use the inferior verson to do
anything with it. DON'T TELL ME IT IS OK, 'cause that is not. It is
poor corporate planning and strategy. They sold something they
couldn't back up and we fell for it hook line and sinker.
Believe what you want and think what you want ----- but I can assure
you it will be a cold day in hell when I purchase another product from
PAPYRUS / SIERRA
Well good for you Glen, i hope you find somone to race with then,
because everyone i know are having major problems!!!

If it were true, then one of two things would be occurring:-
(a) Either everybody would be complaining about v1.1, or
(b) Everybody would be praising v1.1.

Well, for me the patch is working superbly. I'm not saying that there
isn't any problems. There are BIG problems but as I said, not for me.
Maybe I'm just lucky for a change. :)
I've driven few online races and I haven't got a single disconnect in
them and the connection was very good, too. But for example in our
league races too many people were having problems and we couldn't
race. Good news is that Papyrus is trying to solve that problem and
I'm sure they will. Soon, hopefully. :)
