so far i've heard of people having gpl 1.1 frame rates capped at 25 or going up to like 38. but i haven't heard this one yet. (to add to the fact-finding mission...) mine seem to be capped at 34 when offline, and go back up to the solid 36 that i've always had when online. i even went into training and turned resolution down to 640x480... the frame rate counter just won't go over 34.xx i then went online and raced at monza. 35.xx, hitting 36 regularly. i haven't checked to see if my replays correlate with real time. my system: Asus P2B board, 100MHz FSB celeron 300a o/c to 464 128 MB pc 100 RAM CL voodoo2 8MB (yeah, i know) win 98 3Com NIC on school's ethernet (T1) connection (always active) TM GP1 wheel, CH pedals..... logitech wingman FF on the way! SB AWE64 sound card always got 35.xx, touching 36fps with 1.0 haven't seen any of the other 1.1 problems. my online races have all been very good, using the settings from the sample core.ini file. maybe the fps counter is just a little screwy? the other weird thing was that i turned in a (monza) 1:29.5 or something during the online race, where i've never been below 1:30.2 before. as much as i'd like to think i just improved, i didn't turn in any really good, clean laps, either. this online race was done with me using the GSB 2 beta. hope that helps whoever's trying to figure out the 1.1 probs. mark

I have a Lan of 3 machines at home and every time we played this week, all of us would get 42 fps the first time we leave the pits. One machine is V3 the others V2 sli. It does also happen occasionaly during racing or qualifying. It has to be the counter because the game doesn't seem to run any faster when I see 42fps on the screen, in fact sometimes it does run slower.
