Today I bought MS FF wheel, executed the patch, followed the advice
of readme, and that was it! No problems.
The FF is wonderful!

I swapped to the Honda from my usual Ferrari earlier today, I think they've
modelled different FF for each car !!
You can even tell the difference when changing setups.
I'll try the Lotus and Repco later.
