I agree that you shouldn't post a large 150Kb+ file in a non-binary
newsgroup.
And to get back to your situation, if you only knew how Ubisoft really cares
about the texture of their sky. They probably told a 2d artist "Ok you have
a day to create me some random weather, hot, rainy, fog clouds". And that's
all.
At least in MGPRS2 they don't scroll at 200mph in the sky like in F1RS, only
about 100now <g> :)

In response to the original posting, MGPRS2 is the only game/sim out the I
have tried that doesn't look as cartoony as most others.
Take GPL, it hasn't even got a sky!.....just grey..... MGPRS2 has a
different sky every time you play, depending on weather and cloud
cover......... MGPRS2 has the best alover-non-cartoony look around.
Thats just my opinion.
MGPRS2 _IS_ cartoony looking IMHO. Those flashy bright blue/white fast
scrolling clouds, the big contrast between colors on all the graphics,
lens-flare, etc..
GPL is graphically painted from a pastel palette, which IMHO makes the
experience incredible and adds to the historical feelings. And please, GPL
uses dynamic lighting for the sky. Go to the Nurburgring, you will see the
sky go from dark blue to bright blue, with tones of light gray, depending on
the direction of the car. Go to Spa, and see the great sky using both 3d
and 2d stuff (low-altitude clouds on the last part of the track).

You had better look again then man...because GPL does have sky textures..and
cloud foration change depending on where in the world you are.
