Yes! Choose multiplayer at the main menu. Then check the 'host' box, and select ipx (OR your local LAN tcp/ip address). Then click the green button. Clients do exactly the same but check 'join', not host, then your game should appear in the bottom box on their screen. Easy as that. The only thing that may compicate things is that if you use IPX for the game, (which saves piddling around closing dial-up boxes) Windows98 doesn't install IPX as standard, only TCP/IP. To add it manually, call up your network properties in windows, then choose 'Add', 'Protocol', 'Microsoft', 'IPX/SPX-compatible protocol'. Windows 95 should install this as standard. You can also host games for internet *and* LAN clients, by setting up a game through VROC/GSB, then choosing IPX *and* your net TCP/IP protocols in GPL. This is an easy way to run a at least a 6-8 player game with only a 56k modem (if about 4-5 go on the LAN). Hope that helps... Mike West 3DNow! UK: www.3dnow.freeserve.co.uk

> Yes! Also note that the GPL packet size defaults for IPX are large enough to send enough info so that you can see all the other cars on the track at once, while the TCP/IP defaults are still the same as for internet, where you can only see the nearest 5 cars.
