Not really. Nascar 1 has no 3d anyhow, it wouldn't help. N2 would work with a patch, but you would get fuzzy wall images and horizons. Much faster framerate and 3d cars tho..ICR2 ONLY works in3d with video cards based on the Rendition chipset so the 3dfx card that is the Diamond Monster wouldn't help at all there. 4 meg is just fine for older games, but most of the racing stuff was out before it. F1rs is the perfect sim for a Voodoo1 card, which is what the Diamond is. The reason it is so cheap is there are already 3 newer generations of 3dfx based cards, Voodoo2, Banshee and Voodoo3. and finally, it should work just fine with your present card...if you really want to go that route. A Diamond Stealth II S220 is a rendition based vid card that will run 3d in the native N2 mode, and with some work, run the 3d mode of ICR2. But it is a 2d/3d card so your ati would have to come out. It too is an older card now and not really top shelf. dave henrie -- On May 17, 1999 A Whale was killed off the coast of Washington State. You should be able to run Nascar 2 (or rather the 3Dfx version of the game) without any problems. That's what I had in my old P166 and it ran N2 perfectly. So my previous post on the subject. Philster
Thanks Dave and Philster, Maybe a better question to ask is "What would be a good accelerator card for me to use with N1, N2 and the odd ICR2 race ?" Thanks again Martin
