I gave it up about the same tie that GPL came out. I was very frustrated with the problems on TEN(that are still there). I mainly just ran one league race a week (Oscar Sportsman) and when Oscar took it's lang break I bailed. I do miss the league races but nothing about pickup. > Does anyone still race NASCAR 2 on NROS? I was heavy into league racing on HAWAII and tried my heart out to maintain the league schedule on TEN when everything switched over. Unfortunately, TEN's simply not up to the job of providing longterm service to their customers, and what's more is they really don't give a shit about your problems. They're shotgunning it, hoping that they'll get enough people who're satisfied enough to offset the hoardes who, like me, think they suck.

> Does anyone still race NASCAR 2 on NROS? Nope, and I was happy to hear that NASCAR 3 will support it's own FREE servers. No more paying for a service that is so often offline. Oh, your question was regarding NROS? Sorry, I can't run in that series because of some sort of rule (not from the correct state/province).
>Does anyone still race NASCAR 2 on NROS? I cancelled my TEN account shortly after GPL came out. The racing was much better, and the sim was much more fun. However, I'll switch back to Nascar when N3 hits the streets. -- ========================================================= John Simmons - Redneck Techno-Biker (Zerex12) http://www.members.home.net/jms1/index.html John Simmons - Barbarian Diecast Collector http://members.home.net/jsimm/diecast_index.html IGPS (Season 2) Director http://207.104.111.77/igps2/igps2.html If you want to send me email, go to either of the URL's shown above & click "Send Me Mail" in the contents frame. =========================================================

Well there are about 50 to 100 guys using the free demo these days. trouble is only Atlanta and Watkins glenn are available. 99 % of the races are on Atlanta.. dave henrie -- On May 17, 1999 A Whale was killed off the coast of Washington State. The Whale was killed in the name of Tradition.....I say.... %&#& Tradition! >Does anyone still race NASCAR 2 on NROS?
>Does anyone still race NASCAR 2 on NROS? Only about 10 times the number of GPL people who race on VROC any given night...... Some people claim how much better GPL is online, but I guess they are not racing on the ovals like Loudon or Homested like this Oval Nut... Becuase those tracks in GPL are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more warpy than TEN/NROS. The ONLY cool thing about racing on those Oval GPL tracks on VROC is all the Warpy Fire bursts LOL. Get to see the car's blast into flames then re-appear LOL. I kind of like seeing the fire heheheh. Bill / Amish on TEN

Well, I still have the account, but not much any more. I may cancel it. Frankly, NROS is getting boring to me. Improvements to the system ceased to happen about 4 months ago. They can't even fix it so you can use the current crop of digital wheels... What's worse, the 'crowd' on NROS has changed. Now, with the exception of a few dozen I enjoy racing with, it seems everyone wants to smash their way to the higher skill levels. It's unfortunate that that method will get you there just as quick as the experience method. And, the final toothpick under my fingernail is the gross lack of courtesy on NROS now. All of a sudden, about 2 months ago, very long practice races started showing up. I'm not sure what instigated this. You could be in an arena that is full, with people fighting to get in so you they can race, and all of a sudden 30, 40 and 60 minute practice races will start popping up out of no where. It finally gets so bad, I just leave. What makes that situation worse to me is that there are always EMPTY servers that these people can practice in. But, no. They have to pick the most active pickup-race server and plant their asses there. It sucks. The whole attitude in NROS has gone wacko. That's all I have to say about that. -Larry
