ZIP ??

5 posts by 5 people · 23 Jun 1999 - 23 Jun 1999

All the GPL patches (including the OpenGL) seem to be downloadable only as zip files.... which would be great except I don't have an...er...um... UNzipper. Now I'd prefer to get something for free if anyone knows of a freeware unzip program... otherwise, how cheap can I be and still unzip stuff? Thanks in advance, MCS

Get WinZip (stay well clear of pkunzip, which is way out-of-date). You can download it for free from http://www.winzip.com It annoys you by asking you to register it, but you're not forced to pay. I think it's great so I paid for it on principle!

G'mornin', Matt & Alice, I've tried every unZipper I could find, and the one called FreeZip works as well as any, and IT IS FREE ... no shareware fees, even. It adds some options to the "right-click" menu, so it is always readily available. I've always wanted to say, to a nice couple like you, Happy unzipping! Your friend in the aether, smogbike
