I am sure you have all posted the fixes several times, but I only saw the
Limit texture memory to 2 MB and I have tried that, however GPL looks
absolutely horrible on my V3. It looks bizzarre to say the least.
I have a completely fresh install of Win98 and GPL. The first run looked
pretty good. (30 FPS at 8x6) I expected more, so i know I did something
wrong.
Please tell me what I did wrong

You didn't do anything wrong. The GPL 1.1 patch (whenever it is
released)
will fix the problem. Another fix is to use Banshee drivers. The menu
screens get downsized, but game graphics are fine.

I got some weird textures problems using the "limit textures" option. In monza
the public stands were above the trees on the way to The Lesmos when using
over 1024X... resolutions.
It was a nice enginneering solution for 1967 ,but not real. :-)

is still around 15 at the start with 10 cars in front. That is at 1024x768
but I Have seen people posting here saying they are getting 30's at the
start with that resolution. also mid course I am only getting 25 with one
car in front.
I have a 450 128Mb ram V3 2000 AGP

Unzip into your GPL directorySounds like you have vsync enabled?
Go to display proberties->advanced->3dfx tweaks and disable vsync. (Or use
the Gary Peterson OC utility at www.voodooextreme.com)

Ralph,
I'm using the same setup without any problems. Do you still use the
retail CD-drivers? I do so.

Ralph,
I guess your Voodoo is not active.
15fps at 1024 on a 450 sounds like software emulation.
