It would be even more massive if it had a proper in-car view...

I'll buy it.

I'll buy it, too. Looks a lot like Ford Racing 2
and, for what it is (and can be tweaked to be),
Ford Racing 2 is a lot of fun.
And Master Rallye, the previous race title from
Steel Monkeys, is also a good time. So, why not?

I definitely won't buy it...
Isn't the word 'simulators' in the name of this group ?

If the physics are as good as NFS PU I'll get it.
They should have licensed music for a game like this though. Would be
cool if music progressed from the 50s to current day as you got newer
cars.

yeah maybe...I think we are officially called 'rec.autos.vipers.simulators.' Does this
new game have any Vipers in it? I might try it then....
(tee hee...I said that for Jde's benefit)

Not all of us are 'elitists'. I won't look down on a game just because it's
not considered a 'true sin'. Heck, I like a couple of games that might be
called 'arcade'. I probably won't buy this one because I'm not really that
much of a Vette fan. That's the same reason I waited until NFS:PU was in the
bargain bin before I bought it. Unless it's a marque that I really like, I'm
not all that excited to buy a 1-car game.

Never let monetary issues stand between you and some good old fashioned
sinning (?) brother Eldred :-)

ROTFLMAO!
Actually, I heard a rumor that one challenge in the game is to chase
Viper-driving mail carriers with a yellow C5-R! :-)
I'm curious to see how this one turns out. It appears to be a different
developer than Mercedes Benz World Racing. The MBWR PC demo was a blast.
Might have to rent the Xbox version sometime.

MBWR was developed by Synetic, the same folks
responsible for BreakNeck and MBTR. Corvette was
developed by Steel Monkeys, the folks behind
Master Rallye.

This sentence makes me wonder, "Accurately modeled era specific physics with
lift off drift simulation". Whats lift off drift exactly?

Same thing as in GPL ain't it ? Sudden accelerator changes at the edge
of adhesion induce tire breakaway ?

According to the "Drift King", I just watched the "Drifting Bible" the
other night, those wacky Japanese :-), you're correct, suddenly lifting
the throttle shifts weight forward and introduces a braking effect to
the rear tires
