I noticed that there is a Brands Hatch track at the pits for GPL. Anyone try this yet? Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Share what you know. Learn what you don't.

I've already seen people hosting races with it on VROC and GSB.

I've just run 10 laps on it to make sure everything worked ok. All I can say is, GET IT! BTW, I found a map of Brands, I assume it's the modern circuit. I'll have to go back to GPL to see how it has changed. http://www.bmrc.co.uk/circuits/bhmap.htm >I noticed that there is a Brands Hatch track at the pits for GPL. >Anyone try this yet? >Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ >Share what you know. Yes and I always apex way to soon >:( There seem to be a couple of turns at Brands where you have to turn in before you can see the apex. This is gonna' be fun! don motor racing is life condensed around a moment...choose your moment

It's pretty accurate to the GPL track. I loaded the TRK with a viewer, and it's pretty close (just for fun, I knew how the track was). The only main difference between your URL and the GPL track is the second Dingle Dell Corner (it's just one right turn, not this sort of esses/chicane). It's fun to check out the difference of the track in some sims (Toca, etc..). Im still trying to find the correct line into Turn 1 (Paddock Hill Bend). At the moment Im braking in 2different spots (before the hill and after when I get weight back). If I start to brake after the little hill I just loose it. Might change setup for this :) . Yes and I always apex way to soon :( -- -- Fran?ois Mnard <ymenard/Nas-Frank> -- NROS Nascar sanctioned Guide http://www.nros.com/ -- SimRacing Online http://www.simracing.com/ -- Official mentally retarded guy of r.a.s. -- May the Downforce be with you... Looks like the only difference is the chicane at Dingle Dell. I found a more detailed map at the BMRC: http://enformer4.usp.net/bmrc/circuit.cfm?venue=bh Same layout but the dimensions are different - I wonder which one is more accurate?

Thanks for this posting, I didn't know about BH. Looks good (except for one or two graphics gliches ) but tricky (Mexico style) for a duffer the like of me. Someone get to the crunch, give us a clue what kind of lap times we are looking at? Any re-plays available to see? I find these a big help. -- Alan Goss

I just had a couple of races at Brands on VROC. Firstly, the track ROCKS. Second, mid-pack times tend to be 1:37 - 1:42 ish The fast guys are on 1:35's already! Dave Noonan (creator) reckons cars of the day were touching the 1:30's Mike West 3DNow! UK: www.3dnow.freeserve.co.uk

I can be more exact than that. in 1966 the fastest lap was 1:37 . In 1967 there was no Grand Prix at Brands but by 1968, the cars were circulating in the 1:29 bracket. This of course, being the first year with wings in use. Mark
