Podracer Problem.

Ok, it aint GPL. But it's a fun ride. It runs fine on my PII overdrive (PPro upgrade). When I quit the game, my system hangs, sometimes with a black screen, sometimes with my basic window screen with a mouse that moves, but with buttons that are ignored. <CTL-ALT-DEL> might be ignored, or it might pop up it's screen and then be ignored. I have to hit reset, and look at the blue Scandisk screen, with complaints of not being shut down properly. This happens if I back out to the main menu and quit, or quit from the <ESC> screens in the middle of the game. From my experience, repeatedly doing this often enough results in an unreliable system. Anybody else see this? Suggestions? Thanks Larry

With all the DirectX problems I've had, this hasn't happened to me. Have you overclocked your CPU? Do other games work fine? Rick

< SNIP> < SNIP > Nothing is overclocked. The drivers for my Obsidian2x24 are current, 5C, but not the latest betas. I haven't tried any other games as I'm traveling on business, and haven't had the time. I would buy and try EAW if my F22-Pro joystick would load. Thanks Larry
