can anyone provide the link for downloading alternative camera views for gpl any assistance appreciated
I have made some new TV1, TV2 and Pitlane cameras for Monaco, Rouen, Zandvoort and Kyalami but don't know where I could post them. They are really small files, 1Kb / 2Kb for each. If someone wants to put them on their site I can email them. I think I'll be doing more of these cameras now that I have more time. Also there are some camera views for Silverstone, Monza and Nurburgring at The Paddock. http://home.c2i.net/thepaddock/ And if you're looking for different Incar-cameras there are some made by Marko Viitanen. You can download those (I think) from Warped Racing's homepage. http://start.at/warpedracing -- Greger Huttu

Hi Greger, I have 3 of your files still on my site http://freespace.***.net/ian.parker1/utilities.html Kyalami , Monaco and Zandvoort. If you like, I can add the Rouenn file too. -- Ian Parker > I have made some new TV1, TV2 and Pitlane cameras for Monaco, Rouen, > Zandvoort and Kyalami but don't know where I could post them. Yeah, I remembered that I had sent them to you. I will send the new files to you as soon as I have completely finished my Rouen cameras and once I've done some new TV-cameras for Mosport. I think they'll be ready tomorrow. -- Greger Huttu

Ok, they're up on http://freespace.***.net/ian.parker1/index.htm under the utilities section. -- Ian Parker > > Yeah, I remembered that I had sent them to you. I'll send the new files to you when I have time to complete them. I just hope nobody wants new camera settings for the Ring. ;) -- Greger Huttu
>>I just >>hope nobody wants new camera settings for the Ring. ;) >Well, I do. ;-) Hehe, I just checked, there are 52 TV1 and 48 TV2 cameras at the Ring. But maybe I'll do new camera settings only for few places. Flugplatz would be nice place to start with. -- Greger Huttu
There are several "classic" and well-known camera positions, photographer views and spectators places at the Ring. GPL has usually unfamiliar different ones. :-/ What is desired is a frontal view of the jump at Quiddelbacher H?he, like within the opening video of GPL. And a camera on top of the bridge an Antoniusbuche which can cover the whole straight with its bumps, and Tiergarten also. Also, the bridge at Aremberg can host a camera. And a view from the sides and the bottoms of the jumps in Bruennchen and Pflanzgarten (the big one). Also, AFAIK a camera is missing which is placed in the centers of the Karussel and the Suedkurve, which can follow the cars around the circle. And Bruennchen and Exmuehle, viewed from the entry road there. -- Matthias Flatt

They're all availble for download at The Paddock (look in the cool-stuff section) Hope you like 'em! -- All the best, Edwin Solheim **remove spamguard in address to reply** Drop by "The Paddock - a legendary site....." for some cool GPL stuff! http://home.c2i.net/thepaddock

Hmmm, I think I will have a look at those camera positions and see what I can do with them. -- Greger Huttu
