I've seen a few people complain about the problem of static with a PCI
card like the Diamond MX300 or the SB Live and a Voodoo.
Well, I've just fixed my problem with it in both GPL and EverQuest, by
going to:
Control Panel, System applet. Select the "Device Manager" tab, open up
"System devices", and double-click PCI Bus. Choose "IRQ Steering"
(hmm, appropriate for GPL...) and un-select the check-box "Get IRQ
table using ACPI BIOS". Reboot, and Robert's your mother's sister's
fancy man.
Of course, YMMV, IMO, TANSTAAFL, but if it works for you too, let me
know!
