interact v3 wheel/pedals

2 posts by 2 people · 19 May 1999 - 19 May 1999

Hi everyone, Quickly, I have a MSFF wheel and I love it, but I want to get a wheel/pedals for someone for a gift. They are not real serious sim drivers, but may want to bang around a little. I have seen the INteract V3 wheel/pedal combo for around 40$ and wondered if anyone can share some experiences with me about using this wheel? Is it junk? Does it break easily? does it work correctly? TIA for any info ~daxe -----------== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News ==---------- http://www.newsfeeds.com The Largest Usenet Servers in the World! ------== Over 73,000 Newsgroups - Including Dedicated Binaries Servers ==-----

Hi Daxe, I had the V3. I used it for about a year and a half. While nothing broke, the pots were extrememly prone to getting dirty by the end of that time. I would guess this was due to the rather large openings in the pedal base for the pedal mechanism. I used the wheel heavily on a daily basis, also. Actually, I started in GPL with this wheel! I did love the pedals, the were soft, with lots of travel. I never had any problem with compatibility; it worked just fine in all the games in which I used it. Overall, I would say it was a decent wheel for the low end price -- keeping in mind that you get what you pay for. For occassional, softcore use, I think this wheel would be fine. Our little guys pound on my old one now, and it's still going, after about 2 years. I just spray the pots every few weeks, as needed. Good luck! Brett
