GPL - Which joystck driver with MSFF

2 posts by 2 people · 19 May 1999 - 19 May 1999

I`m using a MSFF wheel (now with a squash ball - great trick). Should I use the generic driver or the directx driver option (or whatever they are called I haven`t got GPL open at the mo!) Should I set linear slider all the way to the left? Any other tips to improve control ? Thanks
When released, the 1.1 patch will only support force feedback while using DirectInput. Our generic driver only knows how to read a generic game port; it does not know how to talk to force feedback devices. That's a matter of personal preference. Leave it where you've been using it without force feedback initially (to reduce the number of variables you're introducing at once). Then mess around with it to see if you like it better at a different setting. Randy
