I made a mental note to read some stuff about increasing the GPL replay
length and I even think I bookmarked a page but I can't seem to find it
any more. Please can someone tell me how to do this and what the
pitfalls are. I have 256MB memory.
Cheers,

I have 256mb and I use the following setting. I haven't had any problems
getting entire race replays with 20 cars (not to mention 95% of most
practice sessions).
[Replay]
; number of Kbytes of memory you want to dedicate to thereplay buffer
; default value is 2048 (no setting here by default)
replayMemoryOverride=49152
The pitfall is that you'll be able to see all your driving mistakes at
both the beginning AND the end of the race... :-)

I'm showing my GPL ignorance...
What file is the Replay variable located in?
TIA,
Dave

So, more GPL ignorance from me...where is all this info documented?
The only reference I remember seeing to core.ini is on Eagle Woman's
site, and she only discusses it in context of online play...no mention
of other uses for it.
Is core.ini really a general-purpose, player- or system-specific
config file? How does one find out what the available and valid
commands and settings are? I've never seen anything like a "console
commands" list for GPL, ala Quake or Unreal, for example.
Many TIA.

I've never seen anything like a "console > commands" list for GPL, ala Quake or Unreal, for example.Core.ini is located in the GPL dir, it has many uses, it IS NOT just for
Online play :)

That's good to know, thanks. Unfortunately, I've kind of been away
from r.a.s. for awhile, so haven't noticed any threads lately about
what all the things are that you can do with core.ini, and I don't
think there's much in Alison's GPL FAQ, from what I remember.
Anyone have any pointers where any detailed info resides about
core.ini?
TIA
