SCGT: low throbbing engine noise

5 posts by 4 people · 22 Apr 1999 - 23 Apr 1999

Is anyone else annoyed by that low throbbing noise that seems to be associated with the engine? If so, is there a way to turn it off, or lower its level in the files somehow? It makes the subwoofer thump too much. -- remove "spam-jammer" to reply Yahoo! pager ID=Galley_SimRacer ICQ=29356568 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Graffiti seen above a urinal in East Grand Forks, MN: "Please don't eat the big white mints!"

I see what you mean, I bought the Mustang when I advanced to GT3 class. BTW, someone mentioned on the SCGT forum at the sports-***.com page, that I should try changing the name of one of the .wav files, specifically rdnpin.wav. That didn't get rid of the throbbing sound. I think it might be one of the idle sounds, but it only does it after I'm in third gear, not when idling! -- remove "spam-jammer" to reply Yahoo! pager ID=Galley_SimRacer ICQ=29356568 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Graffiti seen above a urinal in East Grand Forks, MN: "Please don't eat the big white mints!"

I've taken/mistaken it for a heartbeat sound, allthough it dosn't change when things heat up. Reply to mikkel_gramATsaxotechDOTcom

I have noticed the same thing. It also occurs in EA`s Superbike with the Kawasaki. Anybody got a clue? Lee
