Can anyone tell me if DirectX 6 is required to run Viper Racing? The demo
runs fine on my PC with DirectX 5. The system specs on the box of Viper
Racing do not include DirectX 6, but in the manual it is specified as
necessary. I don't want to install DirectX 6 on my PC in case it affects the
running of THE game (GPL).
Does anyone have GPL running 100% on a DELL XPS R450 with a Monster 3D II
using DirectX 6?

Can't remember whether it needs DX6, but DirectX's setup
program will ask permission before it installs. So you can go ahead
and install Viper and don't let DX6 install (if it tries).
