I'm just getting into the racing sim games, and was wondering what a good
video card is for these types of games. I'm currently playing Viper Racing,
F1RS, and am going to buy Nascar99. I have a P2/300 with 160MB memory,
2x4.3Gb Ultra Wide disks, and a Plextor UltraSCSI 32X cdrom. I'm currently
to get a 3dfx type card, or whatever might work the best for most racing
games.
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Personally, I'd say a Ultra TNT2, when they come out, with a Voodoo2 add-on
card. But, if you need backwards compatibility (i.e. N2, NR99, GPL...mms,
all Papy games) and you don't mind some of the shortcomings of the latest
3dfx offerings, then a Voodoo3 3000 (or if you want to wait til sometime in
May or June) the Voodoo3 3500 would be ok (be warned that these last two
cards only support 16bit color, have limited texture sizes (more important
in other games as opposed to racing ones) and are not true AGP2x complaint
graphics cards).
