Is there supposed to be more announcing than just the opening movie?
Have had this game for about a year. The announcer voice is only evident
in the opening movie
What you have is only Nascar Racing 1.
And yes the announcer option in the sound menu is only when Ned says "Hi Im
Ned Jarrett, from Papyrus, this is Nascar Racing".

in the way of voice.

This is not quite true...
Nascar Racing for the Mac is much more like Nascar 2 than Nascar 1.
Graphically, it is better than N2 on the PC. It is lacking in the
spotter area, though.
Oh, fwiw, Thrustmaster makes a T2 wheel for the Mac.
