The BEST race I have EVER had! (GPL)

Hi all, I just raced the Pro Level AI (5 cars) over 6 laps at Kyalami. And ended up having the best race I've ever had! Because I only have 32Mb RAM I was unable to save the whole race so the replay only picks things up at Jukskei on lap 2 (unfortunately just missing me passing Brabham around the outside at turn 2 moments earlier). But that's where the replay starts. Check this out: http://www.karisma1.demon.co.uk/gpl/races/kya_race.zip It's a 1.34Mb file so I understand some people won't have the time to get it. So for them I've made this little "report": http://www.karisma1.demon.co.uk/gpl/races/kya_race.htm Man, I LOVE this sim! -- Cheers! I enjoyed the picture report and am just downloading the complete replay. I am in the process of building a new version of my web site and had thought of putting such picture reports up there. I try and collect replays from my great on-line races, but I have tended to delete them after viewing them. I would be interested to see if people would like more of this - comments here please! Yes, I think a replay archive would be good, but they need to be the best to make them worth the download. If you get anywhere with this, can I suggest that you write a little summary of each replay indicating what is special about it. Mark Croasdale

Great idea... I am sure it would be popular. When you have seen GN's replay (it's amazing) you be convinced.... ;-) Dave Hawnt UK-GPL

Excellent replay Graeme! You really hung it out there a few times. That was fun to watch. Thanks. <Dan> On Sun, 4 Apr 1999 23:23:57 +0100 Graeme Nash

If you didn't know about it already check out Arne Martin's page, http://gpl.gamestats.com/amtracks/ . In the "screenshots" section he has a series of reports from online races - his "greatest battles". In fact I kinda ripped off his report format for my one, sorry Arne :-) -- Cheers!
