Hello Fellow R.A.S. Sim Racers; {This is directed to more of the GPL VROC sim racers.} I want to race GPL in VROC. I am brand new to all this so please bare with me & my "newbie" questions! Now going into Multiplayer in GPL it has my old 56K Zoom PlugnPlay modem in there & I cant modems and tried to 'add' it but when it asked for the *.inf file, My CD had all kinds of *.inf files but none would take. In my Network {in control panel} show everything needed for my connection etc. So how can I change this so my GPL Multiplayer knows I have a Any ideas any suggestions will be apprecited! You don't choose "modem" for VROC... use TCP/IP instead. If GPL still can't connect, you might need to use the "alternate_ip_addr_lookup = 1" line in your core.ini, but it should just work via TCP/IP. Trips "^Fretts

Cheers Thom j. First thing to do is open the Control Panel -> Internet and under Connection uncheck the box "Connect to the Internet as needed". I believe that if this is checked, GPL will attempt to make a DUN connection when it starts multi-player mode. Next you need a core.ini file in your GPL folder (see the readme.txt file for GPL) with the following 2 lines: [Communications] alternate_ip_addr_lookup = 1 You now will want to use TCP/IP for you connection options in GPL for racing on the Internet. -- **************************** Michael E.
