Hey all, I was thinking about getting TOCA 2 tomorrow and was just wondering about its system requirements and performance - how would it run on my machine? I have an MMX P200 with 32MB RAM and an 8MB Hercules Thriller rendition card. Soon I'm upgrading to a PIII-450 with a Voodoo III, but I just can't wait to bang some door panels :-) TIA for any help! -- Cheers! Hey Graeme! Yes, do the upgrade... and soon! I went from a P233MMX with Before I could race on VROC with NO details whatsoever... I sincerely mean none. It sucked. I don't know how much detail you can run, but my stunk. I found it much more difficult ("depth" perception seemed different and worse) to put in competitive, consistent laps. Now I can train and race with the same amount of detail on (still using the Thriller). It's GREAT! I can now run through the chicane at Monaco flat out and NOT hit anything! :-) And I can repeat it lap after lap. Something about detail off made it tougher to go through there. If you raced regularly with NO detail, you are unbelieveably fast... When you upgrade, although you might not magically go faster, I think you will find like me, that consistency will be easier. BTW, my findings might be caused by my training with most details on, yet racing with none. All of my brake markers, etc, were lost. --Dave
