Hi all,
I just reinstalled Cart Racing from Sierra and am having problems
keeping it
running on my system. What happens as that I'm experiencing random drop
to the
desktop at various points in the game. The first time it crashed was at
Australia. I was rounding a corner...then bam...back to the desktop.
About 15 minutes ago I had qualified at Nazareth and clicked on "Go
Race!". Well, I saw my in***pit view and then again was booted to the
desktop.
System Specs:
Windows 98
Abit BH6 MB
PII 350 Mhz Processor
128 Megs of PC100 Ram
6.4 Gig Quantum (Ugh) HD
Diamond MX300 Sound card
Viper 300 2D Card
2-Voodoo2-8 meg cards running in SLI mode.
When running Cart I only have Explorer and Systray running in the
background. I even disable my virus scanner and my screen saver. Also
I disable my video hardware acceleration as it was giving me
problems. Display is set at 640x480 in
256 color mode. Has anyone else had this problem and can help me? Any
help is greatly appreciated. :-)
My advice is simple - run the dos version.
