I apologize if this problem has been posted before. I've just decided
to download the GPL demo from the Papyrus site. The problem is that
when I go to the opening splash screen, I get a hard lockup. (I can't
even alt-control-delete).
My computer is a sony pvc 70
chip-p166
3d card-diamond monster fusion banshee 16 megs
ram-64 megs
openGL version-2.60 (latest drivers from the 3dfx site)
I've tried the openGL 2.53.dll in the directory fix and I still get a
hard lockup.
I've tried the registry fix and I still get a hard lockup.
I have smokey's 3dfx voodoo banshee control, and I would appreciate
info on what settings to use for GPL.
If anyone else has experienced these problems and can help it would be
much appreciated. I have N99 and I love it. I would buy GPL in a
heartbeat if I knew that it would run on my system (even with the
graphics set at a minimum).
Many thanks for any info

Gunslinger had the exact same thing happen to him yesterday. He ended up
going to the Sierra site and downloading the demo from their lame FTP
site. He's a happy camper now since it worked flawlessly.
