I was wondering if anybody could give me feed back on the current CART sims out there. I would like to get one but I haven't heard much about them. Any help would be appreciated.

For detailed setup and a great feeling of speed and decent graphics you should try Cart Precision Racing from Microsoft. However if it's feel your after then the bets is still Indycar Racing II from Papyrus (re-released as CART Racing) which has very reasonable graphics for rendition cards and you'll get a great frame-rate. Setup is fairly limited as is track detail but IMHO it's still the best - the feel of car control is fantastic. Also the artificial intelligence is very good - the AI in CPR is bad to say the least. CPR also supports force-feedback wheels. -joe-

Randy & Evelyn wrote Well there's 2 of them... Cart:Precision Racing by Microsoft/TRI and IndyCar Racing 2 (now renamed to CART Racing) by Sierra/Papyrus. C:PR is not very popular as a serious racing sim, there's too many bugs and problem (AI, game engine, etc..). I mean NO tyre temps ? agh. The sound and sense of speed is the only good points IMHO of it. There's also a track editor, but it's soo complicated that there's only a handful of people able to make them (there's little # of user-made tracks). IndyCar Racing2 has a strong reputation, even if it's a little old (1995). It has a great website support by users, with plenty of modifications, converters to add about 40tracks (NR99 and N2 tracks) and it has still an excellent and very fun simulator. I would suggest it, especially since it's not very expensive anymore (<20$). It also ships with a great book, but be sure to buy CART Racing if you want it, not Indycar Racing 2. -= Fran?ois Mnard <ymenard/Nas-Frank> -= NROS Nascar sanctioned Guide http://www.nros.com/ -= SimRacing Online http://www.simracing.com/ -= Official mentally retarded guy of r.a.s. -= May the Downforce be with you...
